Cold Album Drumming is a project where I play along to the albums I know intimately, but have never played drums to before. The drums are recorded totally cold: One take. Cover-to-cover. No learning. No listening. No practice. No warm-up. In most cases, I haven't listened to the album in many years.

Why do this? Quite simply, it's fun. Fun to operate on pure recall, figure things out on the fly, fun to play along with some of my favorite music, fun to have a musical outlet I can squeeze into my lunch break.

I'm Brad Frost! I'm a web designer, consultant, writer, speaker, musician, and artist based in Pittsburgh, PA. I love music so much: listening to it, playing it, making it, and sharing it. Bass was always my primary instrument, which is why I haven't played to many of these albums on drums. This project is a great excuse to get behind the kit and play along with some of my favorite music.
